At least 15 people have died and thousands evacuated from their homes after yet more severe flooding in central Vietnam.
Central Vietnam, central highland and southern provinces saw 15 people dead and some people missing and displaced, according to the Department of Natural Disaster Prevention on Control.
Heavy rain brought flooding, as cold air and tropical low pressure system destroyed 200 houses, blocked roads, and inundated 40,000 other houses in 12 provinces, according to the same report.
Furthermore, 40,000 cattle and poultry were washed away or dead, and 12,000 hectare of crop were flooded.
In September, floods killed dozens of people in Vietnam’s central region Ha Tinh and Quang Binh, ruining more than 100,000 houses.
